Vista Health System is investing more than $170 million in the future of health care in Lake County. With plans to build a nearly $100 million medical center in Lindenhurst and improvements of over $70 million in our Waukegan facilities, our vision is to provide improved access to health care for all Lake County residents.
Our announcement follows years of strategic planning that supported the need to build a new medical facility in central Lake County. In addition, expansion and modernization at our two existing facilities will allow us to provide better patient access to hospital care, expanded services and advanced medical technologies.
Over the next several months, our architectural firm will work with teams of employees, physicians and members of the community to design patient flow, clinical areas and a facility that is patient-focused. Our Certificate of Need (CON) application was filed on March 1, 2007.
